I'm thinking about getting a hamster. I had one several years ago- a little siberian hamster named Yakko. But when he died, I didn't get another, and all of his stuff has just been sitting in the basement, unused. Very sad. Yakko should have a successor . . . a legacy.
Besides, I was in PetSmart the other day, and the hamsters were just adorable.

Things Joanna must do today:
1) laundry
2) go grocery shopping
3) buy "off-black" stockings
4) go to the bank
5) take Marmalade the Diabetic Kitty to the vet
6) fetch Erica from school
7) make sure everything is packed for tomorrow's flight
8) get to bed at a reasonable hour in order to wake up at 2:30am
