This means that I need to find a new classic book to read. I could continue with Dumas (haven't read The Count of Monte Cristo, for example), but I feel that it's probably time to move on for awhile. Branch out, if you will. There are so many books that I feel that I ought to have read already, and yet I haven't. So this is my plea. What books do you feel are required reading? I'm talking established classics here. You know the ones I mean. They are a part of cultural memory and people know them and reference them without actually having read them.
Any thoughts?
