"Did you just figure out Blue's Clues? You must be really smart!"

Today I played chauffer. I drove . . . from my house to Ray's house to a bike shop to Laura's house to UMBC to my house to the mall to Target to UMBC to my house. Of course, there were stops in between, but the end result is a lot of driving.

Despite a long long time at the mall, Erica and I were unable to come up with anything to buy for our mother for Mother's Day. It's not usually this difficult. (Although we have made it harder for ourselves by pre-deciding against candles and anything that comes from Bath & Body Works.) It's really rather frustrating. I'm sure I'll come up with something eventually, but I'd like to buy something that I know she'd like, rather than a gift bought because I need a gift. Unfortunately, it just doesn't seem to work that way.

I want to leave for vacation right now. Of course, if we did that, we wouldn't have anything packed, the house we are renting would be occupied by someone else, and none of the rest of our family would be there. So I suppose that we'd better wait.

But that won't stop me from wanting.

Want want want.
