I think my favorite part was my bouquet, which turned out to be a paper plate with a few squished daffodil heads taped on. But also, I put my dress on over jeans and a long-sleeved t-shirt. When I realized we'd never lined up anyone to actually perform the ceremony, Sharif said not to worry because he'd hired a guy he knows who dresses up like a Catholic priest. And the president of my company arrived uninvited, barging into the room while I was getting ready to ask me to get him a glass of water.
So this is an exciting start to the less-than-six-months-till-the-wedding mindset.
In other news, it's sunny and warm! We're closing the office at 2:00 today! And I am apparently going to a company event at opening day at Nationals Park on Monday instead of working!
