Hee hee! That's much better! I just spent a good 15 minutes or so with my officemates and a few others, critiquing hula-hooping techniques. The "fit club" that has organized within the company is having a hula hoop competition at lunchtime today, so people are practicing. I am not participating in the club, but it turns out that I'd have a good chance of winning if I bothered to try. Apparently I have not lost the skill to keep a plastic hoop moving around my hips. There's only one other person here that I've seen manage it consistently so far, so I guess he's winning the day.
So four different people were standing in our office, trying to figure out how it's done, and I was standing here saying things like "I think you're trying to go too fast" or "Don't throw it so hard when you start" or "Try moving one foot slightly forward." And I did a demonstration or two so that people could try and copy my technique. All very silly.
