When filling out employment paperwork, I would not suggest using as your emergency contact a person for whom you only provide a home address and a fax number. Those means of contact lack that certain immediacy that is suggested by the word "emergency".

I'm tired today, and I don't feel like dealing with people who . . . speak to me. Or who send me work-related emails. I have a feeling that this will prove to be a problem.
