If the sun doesn't come out and warm up this place pretty soon, I'm going to be very sad. I'm tired of turning on the heat in my house when I get home from work, because my basement bedroom is too cold for changing clothes. That's absurd. I want to sit outside at lunchtime, and I want to take Peanut for walks on the weekend. (Which means that I also want it to stop freakin' raining.) Sigh.
Despite the wind and the rain and the chilly, it was a good weekend. Went to the Acacia Sears CD Release Party Part II: Still Releasing on Saturday night, which was great. Stayed out late, what with the good music and the friends. As we were getting ready to leave, Sharif turned to Dan and asked "So, when are we going to record?" Dan's response, which was awesome, was "Well, I'm not doing anything tomorrow." So Sunday afternoon we headed down that way. I spent time on the couch, reading while Jess was at dance class. Then I stayed on the couch when she got home. We watched rather more than a bit of A Bit of Fry and Laurie, which brought me great joy.
The Boy is going to be out of town for nearly two weeks, starting Friday. I may pine away. Or, you know, find other ways of entertaining myself. Probably I'll do some laundry at some point. That should take up a little time.
