Perhaps inspired by Erica's tales of her weekend, I spent yesterday evening cleaning. I started by cleaning my bathroom, a task which was rather overdue. I then went through the piles of stuff that have been accumulating around the edges of my bedroom and slowly taking over the floor. I sorted and tossed, eventually reducing the mass down to one small stack of papers to be organized and filed when I have bought file folders. Anything worth keeping that wasn't paper, I found a space on a shelf or in the closet.
I have big plans for future cleaning, too. I need to clean out the aforementioned storage closet. I need to go through all my clothes and get rid of (donate) anything that I don't wear anymore. Same with shoes. I need to do a heavy-duty dusting- which will definitely need to be followed by a serious vaccuuming. I wish I could go home right now and work on this while I'm still motivated.
I also wish that I could throw open the windows during my spring cleaning madness, but that is not happening for two reasons. First, it's still chilly outside. Second, and more important, I live in a basement with tiny, unopenable windows. Ah well. That has been, consistently, my only complaint about my living situation, so I think I'm doing pretty well.
In other news, there's a giant Irish Wolfhound in my house this week! I love Gracie.
