it's a resentful day

This is how today would go for me if I had my way:
I'd wake up around 9:30, spend a few minutes checking my email and other internet things. Go to the kitchen, start a pot of coffee, walk around and open the windows. Toast a bagel, add cream cheese. Breakfast on the couch. More coffee on the porch. Take a shower, put on some comfortable clothes. Stick a sandwich, a bottle of water, and a book in a daypack. Head to the woods, the lake, or the city and hike, ride, or stroll at my leisure. Come home and take off my shoes. Have a nap or read in the hammock that magically appears in the yard.
Why am I getting up before I'm rested in order to spend the most pleasant parts of most days in a cold office building doing things that don't interest me?
OK, I know why. But I still think it's stupid.
You are right. It IS stupid. Office buildings should be openable. Blah blah blah climate control, BAH. People need fresh air and at least an illusion of freedom, so cooping them up in big chilly boxes on nice days does no one's productivity levels any good. So says me.
Driving to work with the windows down and seeing how gorgeous it is out when you know you won't see any of it for eight hours is kinda soul-crushing.
So true. I'm probably going to go to Subway for lunch for the second day in a row, because that's the only place that I can walk to from my office. I'll then eat outside. It's not enough, but it will have to do.
At least I'll probably be able to take a walk after
work, thanks to Daylight Savings!
Two days ago, it was in the 60s here. I walked outside, and at one point, hit golf balls.
This morning, there was snow on the ground.
And I spent 2 hours dealing with test proctoring today. Bah.
I really resent the fact that this whole week is so great weather-wise, but it's supposed to get back into the 40s for the weekend.

I feel ya, sister. It's so damn cold in my office. I'on't get it.
My favorite part of your wished day is the magic hammock. I gotta get me one of those.
I didn't mention it, but the bagel and cream cheese were magic, too. As was the implied milk in my coffee. I really need to go grocery shopping.

Well, in your magic day, there'd be plenty of time for the getting of bagels, cream cheese, and milk.
