I spent a good two hours yesterday shoveling snow- it was wet and heavy and I never do anything. So today I am sore all over. But I got my car out of my neighborhood, which I certainly would not have been able to do if I hadn't shoveled.
As I was pulling out of my carefully-crafted parking space this morning, there was actually someone waiting to pull into it! That irritated me exceedingly. Granted, I won't be needing to park on my street for another nine hours or so, but when I do, I will probably have to drive over a huge mound of rock-hard ice and snow. My car can't do that- that's why I spent so long shoveling my portion of the street completely clear.
I know that this is a risk you take when you have to park on the street, but I don't have to like it. I didn't even have a chance to do the classy save-your-space-with-folding-chairs thing. Sigh. Like I've said- I love snow, as long as I'm not expected to go anywhere.
ETA: I forgot to mention one other annoying thing and one good thing. My shower this morning was hot for only about 60 seconds, and my bathroom was not getting much help from the heating vent. It was a very short shower. BUT! I have off this coming Monday for President's Day! I'd totally forgotten! Hurrah for three day weekends.
