Not. Happy.

I have, in the past, had days upon days in which nothing important has happened in my department. Boring, interminable days. Why, why were the two days after Christmas not like that? I was out of the office for two business days, traditionally among the least busy of the year for this industry. And the amount of work that is in front of me, the amount of important information that I didn't get because I was away, the volume of sheer frustration facing me . . . ack. I want to go home and climb back into bed.

Or, better yet, play with my Christmas gifts. I got some excellent toys.

So hi, I'm back in the real world but ridiculously busy. I had a fantastic holiday/vacation, and am sorry to be here right now, even if I do just have two days of work before another long (3-day) weekend.
