The puppy went home on Sunday night. We spent the weekend together, walking around a lake, walking around the neighborhood, napping on the couch. She slept at the foot of my bed and made sure I woke up to play with her in the morning. Peanut was a nice houseguest, aside from the whole "I pee on your floor" thing that became an issue from time to time. And I could forgive her that, because she is so cute, and because no person has ever been quite so excited to see me when I walk through the door. But she had to go home, and so last night was lonely.
Don't ask me why I ended up watching a Kim Possible movie (A Sitch in Time) on the Disney channel, but that is how I spent my evening. Instead of, say, doing laundry or cleaning the kitchen. I'll admit that I was entertained, but I am not proud of the amount of TV-watching I've done over the past few days. If I decided to list for you all of the shows I watched on Sunday in particular, you would agree with me when I tell you that when I went to bed on Sunday, I was dumber than when I woke up.
Now I'm at work, and I just don't have that much to do, so the day is going to be long. And my back has been hurting me lately, which is no fun. But I'm pretty sure that a co-worker and I will be going out for Mexican food at lunchtime, so that's something to look forward to.
