Mall and Daedalus Books yesterday with the sister. At the latter, I bought Jasper Fforde's Something Rotten (hardback), E.L. Konigsburg's From the Mixed-up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler (paperback), Richard Flanagan's Gould's Book of Fish (paperback), Susanna Clarke's Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell (hardback. red!), and Terry Pratchett's Bromeliad Trilogy (hardback). Total cost? $23 even. I think that's pretty damn good.
The rest of the day included video gaming, staring at mice in PetSmart, pho eating, kitty cat researching, fireworks buying, setting off fireworks in Sharif's driveway, Gracie petting, and drinking wine and rum and Pepsi. (There was simply no Coke to be had.) Today is Father's Day, and as soon as I've showered and dressed, I guess I'll be heading over to the parents' house. I'm dragging at the moment, but I have a feeling that a shower and some sunshine (and some coffee) will put me right, at least for a while.
I've had the new ilyAIMY CD playing in my car pretty much continuously for the past week and a half. This means that even when I'm not driving, I've got (at least one of)the songs stuck in my head. I'm living in a constant haze of ilyAIMY.
