And suddenly it is May.
Sharif and I have been together for a year now (plus three days, if you want to keep exact track of the relationship. Because I know you all have a creepy fascination with my love life . . . right?) In celebration, we went out to the Melting Pot for a bountiful, tasty, and lengthy meal on Friday night. Then we spent the rest of the weekend together- just because.
We spent most of Saturday outside, which seemed appropriate, what with the beautiful weather. We and Sharif's roommate Ben went to the Inner Harbor, where we joined many many people with the same idea. This was expected, as there was a festival type thing going on in honor of the round-the-world Ocean Race that was stopping in Maryland at the time. We saw some lovely seagoing vessels there, went to the tapas place again for tasty food and a pitcher of sangria, wandered around on Federal Hill, sat by the water to watch the paddleboats, and just generally enjoyed the sunshine. We agreed that, all in all, it was a good day to be a duck. In the evening, we ordered Chinese food and watched Good Night, and Good Luck.
Sunday was a lazy morning followed by an afternoon and evening at the Boy's parents' house. Good food, a cute happy dog, and plenty of time out on the deck.
It was an incredibly coupley weekend, and it was exactly what I needed, I think.
