Oh lord, Diana starts tomorrow. Diana is the woman taking over the receptionist job. I'll be training her tomorrow, and probably part of Wednesday, and then . . . I start my new job. I've been learning this stuff for ages now, and even did it unsupervised while still doing my current job last week, but still I am crazy nervous about it. I think the nervous is more about Major Change than it is about the job itself. In fact, I'm sure of it, because I know a lot of the job already, and Tracy is only going to a different department, so she'll be close by for questions. And I know me when Major Change is approaching. So yeah, nervous.
On the whole, the weekend was quiet. And good. Good and quiet. Much of Saturday and about half of Sunday with Sharif, who makes a mean pasta sauce and just generally makes me happy. The rest of the weekend I spent mostly reading or playing Mario Kart. Which was essentially what I wanted to do, so it all turns out well.
There's so much work to do. I have my normal work, plus my new work, plus I'm trying to make a reference guide for Diana to keep (as I started this job with no one to teach me about it, and it would have been welcome), and I need to clean out my desk for the move. Not looking forward to that part one bit. So yeah, back to work.
