While I was at my parents' house briefly yesterday, my mom showed me this article in the Howard County Times. It seems that Junior Editions will be closing in January. This is incredibly sad. For those not in the know- Junior Editions is (soon "was") a small independent children's bookstore at the Columbia Mall. It is cute and the people are always friendly and I've found some lovely things there, just by browsing around. If I am looking for a specific children's book, I'll look there first. And if they don't have it, I'll ask them to order it for me. Not any more, I guess.

grrr. evil chain bookstores (um...that I just purchased books from last night...oops). I blame Dave.

That's sad. And reminds me of that movie...um...You've Got Mail? The one with the exact same plot as Sleepless in Seattle, but with email instead of personal ads.

The books I gave you for Christmas came from Jr. Editions.

I'm having a really hard time not crying right now. Wow. I'm glad I bought several Christmas presents there. I wish I could somehow make them not go out of business. I wish I could buy the store. I... *sigh*
