I'm in a cleaning mood. I think that this is merely because I have finished all my current assignments and have restless energy. I've already cleared off my desk completely, given it a good wipe with Windex (it's a glass-covered desk), then rearranged everything on it while dusting each item. I've also straightened the magazines on the table several times, and reassured that the couch cushions are neat. There's nothing else really for me to clean now, barring reorganization of my desk drawers, and I bet that I'll take that on this afternoon. I'd really like it if this productive mindset would stick around through the evening, so that I can take care of a number of chores that I've been putting off at home. Laundry and bedsheets and bathroom cleaning, oh my!
Had a second play rehearsal last night. Still didn't have the full cast there, but there were more this time than last week. It's very strange being "Panic". I make a lot of noise in the course of the play, but I have only four (I think) actual sentences. The rest of my role is nervous energy and shrieking.
Rehearsal finished at 9:00, so Erica and I were able to spend some time at open mic. Many of the usual suspects were missing, what with parents and Utah and exhaustion. Sharif was also scheduled to be elsewhere, but an outdoor show ended up canceled because of weather, so I did get to see him. We got there just in time for the end of IO's set. (They claim that this was merely by chance, but I maintain that they planned it that way. Why they didn't want me to hear them is a mystery to which I have no solution.) ilyAIMY also played, and in case I haven't mentioned it here before, they are great fun to watch- especially when they play the songs in which the goal seems to be to get every band member's hands moving as fast as humanly possible.
I was super lazy this morning and failed to pack myself a lunch. I hate to reward laziness, but a girl's gotta eat, and I'm thinking Chick-Fil-A.
