Someone from the Bennigan's across the way came into the office a little while ago with a tray. Basically, she said "We'd like to get business from you guys, so here are some free sandwiches", and then she handed over the tray. And then she left. She didn't try to talk to anyone in charge. She didn't ask for a card or a phone number or a name of a person that she could call later to follow up. This kind of salesperson I like. The sandwiches are turkey and cheese with honey mustard, on some lovely buttery, almost croissanty, rolls. Yummm.
Save me one
And thanks for giving me a chance to use this new, pointless user pic!
YUM I LOVE SANDWICHES.
I also love Alton Brown. That icon kicks asssss.
I thought /my/ workplace was pretty cool... but YOU have a dual coffee/hot chocolate machine, /and/ random free sandwiches are delivered to you on a shiny tray. This is some fierce competition.
Well, tomorrow I am leading everyone (or at least, the willing) on a raspberry-picking expedition! We will wander the quiet wooded roads near our building during lunch hour and pluck the sweet, delicate, red lusciousness of nature's glorious abundance.
Ha! Take that, instant mocha and free sandwich enjoyer! ::wink::
Hey, speaking of nature's glorious abundance, when are we going to go pick some cheesecake-fruit?
I admit, you win in the fresh fruit stakes. We have nothing resembling quiet wooded roads and freely growing berries here in groomed Columbia.
And, ooooh Cheesecake-fruit! You are right, this is a quest we must undertake, and soon.
A woman on the Redevelopment Authority of York City reminds me of you greatly. I asked if she had relatives named Joanna but she said no.
