or maybe i'm just perpetually nervous

Last night I did very little, suffering as I was from a Headache That Couldn't Die. I played some PlayStation and then read for a little while, but both of those activities heightened awareness of the pain, so I moved on to passive TV-watching. This was somewhat better, but eventually I gave up and took myself to bed quite early.

Today is much better. No headache. Actually alert. Hardly anyone in the office, thanks to a big meeting offsite. And it's Friday, which means that I am currently less than two hours from the weekend. Can't be a bad thing. And this will be a good weekend, for sure.

Not sure how this evening will be spent, though. I'm sorta tempted to stay in and play video games in my deserted house. That really does sound appealing in a geeky sort of way. But I'd also quite like to get out of the house and do something that involves actual activity. So we shall just have to wait and see.

I hate that my feet get cold so easily. It means that so many cute pairs of shoes are inadequate footwear for work. I'm wearing a pair of strappy sandals right now, and although the office is not particularly over-air-conditioned, my feets, they be freezing. But when all of my stockings have runs in, the choices are sandals or boots, and when it's June and I want to wear a pretty flowery skirt . . . that choice is taken out of my hands. When I get home, though, I'm putting on socks. I mean, immediately.
