. . . the drowsy apricot, betide.

Christmas was good. Really nice. And quiet. Just the four of us (me, mommy, daddy, Erica). I was given nice things and I ate lots and lots of nice food and had a nice day. "Nice" is such a vague and overused adjective, but that's the one I chose and I'm sticking to it.

We went to St. Will's for Mass on Christmas Eve. Hadn't been there since last Christmas Eve. I was glad to be there. Familiar faces and a small, pretty Church. Much more comfortable to me than the one we've been going to for convenience's sake. And I ran into Katie, from my grade school class, to whom I hadn't spoken since 8th grade! She told me that she'd been working with the Peace Corps in Uzbekistan, and would be going to Guatemala soon. And I felt terribly insignificant when I said that I was flight attendant, but she seemed to think that that was pretty cool. So we were mutually interested/ing. At least, that's what I like to think.

I flew the day after Christmas (that would be yesterday) to Punta Cana. We had nearly a full plane on the way there but no passengers on the way back! It was great. I spread out across three seats and read and slept. Woo!

Um. I want to go to Oklahoma. But I can't. My schedule for January won't allow it.
