Today is stupid.
Why in the world is it snowing? It is miserable out there, not even nice snow, and it was SO WARM yesterday. Blech.
Plus, I've got a huge busywork project to do for the president of the company, so it's really important that it's done right, but at the same time it's really really dull. Plus! It's on a deadline! What fun!
The weather had better not make it hard to do my hanging out and arts and crafts-ing tonight, because I'm looking forward to some not-stupid.
Well, quite possibly stupid, but in a good way.
Anyway, now that I've complained a bit, back to the busy.
We may need to find some place closer to the destination point for art and crafting. It doesn't make a particular difference to you, since you'll be starting out up there, but for me, the driving to and driving fro may get a bit tedious.
Now, if only we can find a crafty place near College Park...
Oh! I have buttons, and we can use those
for eyes instead of googly eyes on at least a couple of the puppets. I think it'd probably be fun to change things up puppet to puppet. I think the big challenge is finding a place to buy yarn, mostly because I have no real idea of where these sorts of stores exist in the area.
Socks, we have. I've got a glue-gun and a few various crafty things. Other crafty things could be picked up at the Target by my house.
Who sells yarn? Do fabric stores sell yarn?
The Michael's in Laurel is on Rte. 1, and not terribly far from my house, but is still a bit
of a drive. It would be awfully easy to get from there to Perk, though.
Just a thought.
Plus, the Michael's in Laurel has the added bonus of having an HVAC system by Hardesty, Inc. Can't beat em.
Can I make a puppet? If so, will you grab some yarn for me?
I think we should also pick up doll's glasses. Because puppets with glasses!
And I imagine you could get there from 29 or 95 depending on your preference—it probably wouldn't actually make sense for us to travel together. (I'll look it up in a bit and e-mail directions to you.)
With the way the roads have been, I'm still up for the drive to Ellicott City, just not for the stupidity of drivers. But I'll get that wherever we go.
Just let me know what you want to do.
