I am currently running on about half my normal amount of sleep. I'm coping at the moment, but I'm not sure how long I will last. We shall just have to see whether I'm conscious enough to get myself to open mic this evening. I'd like to, but I'm afraid there are no promises.

Not that I regret my lack of sleep. It was for a good cause. Yesterday afternoon, Rohini and Will and I headed up to Philadelphia. We were planning to spend a few hours with Christina when we got there, but it turned out that she had a project to finish, and wasn't able to spend more than about 45 minutes with us. It was good to see her, though, even that little bit. It had been years. After wandering the cold streets of Philly for a while and then warming with a drink and some unwelcome rhythm (Rohini hates rhythm. She said so.), we headed over to the venue for Tom McRae's show. I ate a massive plate of cheese fries- with a little help- and then went into the room with the music. Which was fantastic. It was exciting to hear them live again after that first time over a year ago when I didn't know any of the songs. I'm really glad I went, even though I shall quite possibly hate myself for it once the post-lunch exhaustion sets in this afternoon.

Speaking of lunch, I'm really hungry right about now. Probably has something to do with the fact that my breakfast was half a bowl of Golden Grahams followed by about 5 saltine crackers. Not the most filling of meals.
