I think Mother Nature broke up with her boyfriend. That's the current theory to explain today's weather. Forget fronts and barometric pressure and . . . um . . . dewpoints and humidity! I don't hold truck with all those new-fangled notions! Mother Nature. Broke up with her boyfriend. So there.

There is a rose on my desk because someone gave one to each woman in the office. I bet all the guys are jealous. The only vase I have is HUGE, so the thing looks kinda silly where it is, but as the only other option was a Deer Park water bottle, I decided that silliness is all a matter of perspective.

I crave lunch.

I hear beer bottles make great vases. They're cheap, elegant, and sophisticated!

And if you have wine bottles, that's a step even higher. You can even use liquor bottles at candle bases.... oooohhh flaming alcoholism..... tasty... and sophisticated!

Ah, yes, I should bring a bunch of whisky bottles to work to adorn my desk. Most of them can hold flowers or candles, but one of them will have liquid in it . . . then I empty it a little more each day . . .

Sounds like a fun way to get fired!

actually, if it's the bigger sized deer park bottles especially, they make excellent vases. though large bacardi bottles work better...

In fact, it's a .5 liter bottle, which I think should actually be fine for a single rose. Good thing too, as tomorrow we're getting the bouquet that's meant for the big vase, and my rose will have to move.
