a fine romance

five dollar

There is evidence that I'm probably going to get hit in the near future. Damn that effective marketing scheme.

The best idea of last night was for my upcoming suspense-thriller novel. The Rainbow Connection. Protagonist's last name is Green. Think The DaVinci Code, but with a whole lot more references to The Wizard of Oz. Why are there so many songs about rainbows? Because they all contain clues to help you find the pot of gold . . . the Philosopher's Stone, that is. It makes perfect sense. Or perhaps it is clear that I just recently finished reading Foucault's Pendulum. Either way, I'm particularly looking forward to the part where a character goes a little mad and starts raving about Rainbow Brite and "Skittles! Taste the rainbow!" Oh, and of course the three chapters that end with someone exclaiming "There it is! The Rainbow Connection!"
