Count to zero

Today I wanted a chili-cheese dog and some onion rings. I did not get any of this. I did, however, make soup with Laura. This was very good. We had crusty rosemary bread with the soup. This was also quite tasty. The bread came from a cheese shop, where a french guy gave us samples and a lesson in cheese and we got to go into the room where all the cheeses were aging. It was neat. It made me think of the Cheese Shop sketch, which is probably my favorite Monty Python sketch, although the Fish-Slapping Dance is also high on the list. The real cheese shop is much superior to the shop of the sketch, in that it actually stocks cheese. Quite a lot of it, in fact. Yum.

I also got to meet the dog that lives at Laura's house. He is very very very sweet and mellow and I love him.

Laura has a bottle of Chambord that looks like the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch.

I had a dream last night in which I got married. I don't know who the groom was, but I do remember that I had the absolute worst seat at the reception. I couldn't see a thing that was going on, because there was someone tall sitting right in front of me. And no one was paying any attention to me, even though I was the bride. Strange.

Tomorrow I shall have to clean my room. It's a disaster.
