Can't complain about today!

Started work today. Not too difficult- day before a holiday and all. Lots of people weren't in the office, and the call volume was low, so I'll get my actual introduction next week. They closed the office at 2:00, and Thursday and Friday are paid holidays. Was I complaining about taking this job? Because three days of pay for five hours of work sounds pretty sweet to me.

Not that I'm expecting this kind of occurence on a regular basis. But all the people so far seem nice (I think some of these people are actual educated late-20's folks!) and the phone system seems managable, and benefits kick in the first of the month- so all in all I'm feeling much better than I was a few days ago. At least I'm confident that I'll be able to pay my credit card bills and car payments and that I'll be able to go to a doctor if the need should arise.

Oh, and I'm able to come home for lunch, which is pretty sweet.

After work, I met Rohini at the mall. Tried on clothes to be purchased this weekend- including a great leather jacket that I hopehopehope is still there when my coupon becomes valid. Then we met Erica at Don Pablo's for food.

Happy Thanksgiving all, to those who recognize it. It's one of my favorite days of the year. Eat lots of food.

Turkey turkey turkey day,
Turkey all the way!
