I've found that it is usually quite fun to be The American (or at least The American Girl, as is the case here).

But then sometimes you're watching Bowling for Columbine in a room full of Europeans and Japanese people, and you feel a little squirmy.

Good film, though.

Has Fahrenheit 9/11 been put out there yet? That will make you more squirmy, especially given how anti-Bush the rest of the world is. I haven't seen Columbine, but I've heard it's less well done than F9-11 (and I had my gripes with that film too).

I had the exact same experience in Germany last year. It felt almost surreal at times.

when i saw the film in london last july, i just got the feeling that no one understood what was going on...very intresting setting, i thought...

ps. i have no idea how i found your journal, prob. on a some sort of travel site, just for a heads up:-). i am more of a bookmarker then friends adder.
