Yesterday was Thanksgiving. As tradition dictates, we had the Lubeys over, and, also as dictated by tradition, we all had a very nice time. And dinner. We all had a very nice dinner. And pie. We all had a lot of very nice pie.
I've watched a great deal of Monty Python in the past few days, which is probably why that last paragraph made me think of the Spanish Inquisition. ("No one expects the Spanish Inquisition! Our chief weapon is surprise! Surprise and fear, fear and surprise, our two chief weapons are fear, surprise and a ruthless efficiency, three! Our three chief weapons are fear, surprise, a ruthless efficiency, and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope" . . . and so on and so on and scooby dooby dooby.)
I'm going to be painting my bathroom this week. I've got the paint now ("Chaparral Pea", a kind of green), and I've pulled the animal-themed border off, so that's a good start. I think that it will end up looking very nice. I should take "before and after" pictures and post them on here, to make me feel accomplished.
