I read too fast

I bought The Da Vinci Code in Christchurch just a few days ago. I'm almost finished. I'm pretty sure that I will be finishing it today . . . before I leave to catch my plane. This would bother me, if not for the fact that I bought a book for $5 from the girl who shared the hostel room with me last night- $5 is considerably less than I would be spending in a bookstore, so I'm happy. (Seriously, paperbacks are all like $25 here! It's kerazy!) Plus, my new book is one I've not yet read by Stephen Fry, so that's pretty cool. Go, girl randomly assigned to my hostel room!

Now I just need to bide my time in Auckland until the time comes to catch the bus to the airport. I suppose I could "celebrate" Palm Sunday by going to see The Passion of the Christ, except that this is something I have no desire to do. I wouldn't mind going to Mass, really, but only in my own church, which is about as far away as it is possible to be, so that's a no go. I guess I'll just find a park bench and finish off my book. It does involve Jesus, after all. Yeah. That's why I'm reading it. What a good Catholic am I.

Looking forward to getting back to Mot'. And doing some grocery shopping. And laundry. Yup, an evening of thills awaits.
