I'll be home for Christmas
You can plan on me
Please have snow
And mistletoe
And presents on the tree
Christmas Eve will find me
Where the love light gleams
I'll be home for Christmas
If only in my dreams . . .

Merry Christmas, all. I don't know how to spell mistletoe.

Spending this day with three small children is quite an experience. I haven't had a children-y Christmas since I was a children. So the laughter and the toys and the jumping (and the sulks and the screaming) are all quite novel to me. Erica would hate it. And the next part. Yesterday evening I went to the childrens' Christmas Eve Mass. It was madness- more than 800 people in the church. But we all sang Christmas carols really loud and had a special simplified version of the Christmas story with illustrations projected on the wall, and afterwards I took the kids (not all the kids, just the 3 I know) to the playground while Chris and Veronika helped clean up the church.

Today has been quiet so far. Well, as quiet as it can reasonably be expected to get in a house with three excited kids. There will be guests arriving soon, after which there will be presents and a nice dinner. I hope you all have a lovely day with people you love.
