Here is the strategy of hurricane preparation that seems to be prevailing in this area of the Mid-Atlantic:When in danger
Or in doubt-
Run in circles,
scream and shout.
OK, not really, but people do get worked up really easily. Just calm down, folks, and everything will go much more smoothly.
That's all I have to say, I suppose.
that's how arizonans do it, too, but i think we have more of an excuse. the whole city goes librarian-poo when it snows.
you and my brother (who is in fairfax county) should start a club - he said people are buying batteries and battery-powered tv's like the apocalypse is coming.
Heh. Exactly. The whole region has gone totally bursar.
OOH I want it to snow.
I mean, not right now...
yeah, i definitely agree.
people also seem to really want books and coffee when there's a hurricane a'comin, and they be jerks about it.
the question i was going to ask: what are you doing saturday?
god forbid if you legitimately run out of toilet paper and they call for snow.
your icon just made my day.
Today the power ran out and I ran up and down the stairs of my friend's dorm several times out of sheer joy.
Cause the running in circles can be lots of fun!
