So I was on the airplane this morning (I didn't fly, but I was there on Ready Reserve, meaning that I would have to fly if someone didn't show up) and I knelt on the floor to look under a seat, and then there was a lapel pin STUCK IN MY KNEE! OUCH! And the other folks there didn't have nearly enough sympathy for me. I mean, really. There was a sharp object embedded in my knee, and most of them just laughed at me. OK, granted, I wasn't really terribly injured, and there wasn't even any blood or anything, but the thing was stuck entirely into my knee. And then later I felt the need to prove to one of the mechanics that I am smart, even though I am a flight attendant instead of a . . . I don't know, a teacher or something . . . and I started listing all of my academic achievements. I'm not sure why. But it was the third time in maybe ten hours that I'd received the "you should be doing a job related to your majors instead of working on an airplane" lecture, and I'm a little tired of that one. If anyone can find me a job in the fields of history or sociology that I will enjoy as much as my current employment, I encourage them to tell me about it, otherwise they should just let me make my own decisions.
Hmm . . . saw Gabe (along with the rest of "Eternal Blue") perform today. That was fun. We got a little lost on the way to the park, but we still made it there in good time, unlike some people who were lost for two hours. Laura and I are now going to start a band called "Temporary Orange". Not really, but it would be fun.
Erica and Ray made pizza for us tonight. "Us", meaning me, mom, dad, Erica, and Ray. That was a good meal. These were some gourmet pizzas. Oh yeah. And then we watched Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, which I hadn't seen in about 10 years.
This entry is much longer than I had intended. I really must go to sleep, or else my remaining at home tonight will be singularly pointless.
