I'd do anything for a man with a St. Bernard.

Big, big news.

Today was an exciting day at work.

I'll wait a moment for you to climb back into your chair from the floor . . .

OK. The reason that today was exciting was that, totally unexpectedly AND without warning (yes! both at the same time! simultaneously!), I got a new computer!

Brand new! It was still in the shipping boxes when it got to my desk.

Very exciting.

So I got to spend my idle time playing around with customizing my BRAND NEW COMPUTER- setting up color schemes and screen saver and screen area and all of that fun stuff.

Many many other people in the office are getting new computers, and I was vaguely aware of some plan to update the computer system of the company, but I had no idea that it would include me, as my responsibilities computer-wise are slim indeed. Woo. You won't find me complaining.

(Am I a big dork? I suspect that I am a big dork. Not that this is a problem. However, I do realize that my NEW COMPUTER is "big news" to one person only, and that person is me. Oh well. Be excited for me anyway.)

Otherwise, there's not much to say. I watched some Jeeves & Wooster, made some new user icons, read for awhile.

Oh, would you look at the time? I think I'll change into my pajamas and read in bed. That sounds like a great idea.
