I stopped by the mall after work yesterday. Didn't buy boots or a jacket, although those were my specific goals. I did drift into Bath & Body Works unexpectedly when I noticed piles of cute little soft stuffed toy sheep. I just wanted to hug one, but upon approaching the table I noticed the sign that said "free lambie with any $15 purchase!" Apparently, this marketing ploy was aimed directly at me, as I almost immediately remembered that hey, I'm totally out of sugar scrub, and hey, I love the eucalyptus spearmint scent from Bath & Body Works. I ended up spending $16, so free lambie for me!

Then I was cheery for the rest of the night, hugging my little lambie. Because I am four years old.

I have been known to approach a fuzzy stuffed animal in a store, look around furtively like a thief, and then snuggle the hell out of it when no one was looking. heeeee!

Hee! Secret snuggles! I was silly about claiming my free lambie, as I totally knew that I was spending enough to get one. But I went up to the counter without one anyway, then acted surprised when the girl behind the counter told me that I could pick one out. Perhaps I should worry less about whether complete strangers are aware that I enjoy cute soft things. It is not a particularly unusual trait!

haha! I think it's funny you did that, but not because I haven't been too ashamed to show others the sheer delight I get from toys and stuff. in a week and change I will be Officially in my mid-thirties (34), so I'm learning to be less embarrassed by it, since I'm also learning to be less embarrassed about more important things my poor grasp on geography and politics and such. you, too, will learn to love the fact that you're a kid forever, hopefully before your boobs start taking a noticeable downward trend! hahaha

Eeee! So cute! Which one did you get? I totally want a lambie, too! Our lambies can be bestest friends!

I got the white one with the brown face! Its name is Lambie. I am original!

(I sorta want to go get something else so that I can have the grey one too.)

The fact that they call them "Lambie"s rather than "Sheep" certainly helps the marketing ploy. Cuteness++

That happened to me tonight, too! I got a coupon for free lotion sample (which the store hadn't received yet - WTF) and had a 20% off coupon and grabbed my favorite body butter and it was $14 and I was like...$1 and I get a lamb! So of course now *I* have not-exactly-necessary eucalyptus and spearmint scented stuff.
