The air conditioning was on in the house last night. And when I say that it was "on", I mean that it was actually running the entire night. Since I live in the basement and my bed is hit directly by the air from the vent, I was very very aware of this. Since we can't just turn down the air (or Lacey would never receive any benefit from it on the top floor), I have to locate that big magnetic vent cover that I have somewhere. With that thing covering all but a tiny sliver of vent, my bedroom will still be sufficiently cooled in summer for me to sleep under multiple blankets.
I think the point of that story was to say that it was very hard to get out of bed this morning, because the bedroom was cold. Also, since Lacey prefers cool weather and I prefer warm weather, we've clearly got the wrong bedrooms.
I'm glad it's been a short week. Last weekend was notable for being three days long, but only containing one day's worth of activity. (Let's see, is that true? Bike ride, dinner with Sharif's parents before the ilyAIMY gig, ilyAIMY gig, brunch with Erica, walk around Centennial Lake, lots of computer gaming. OK, maybe 1.5 days.) This weekend will probably contain a similar amount of activity, adjusted for the two day weekend. We're supposed to go to Sharif's parents' house for dinner on Sunday, and that's the only actual plan, as far as I'm aware. This is fine with me. Hopefully we'll be able to get the bikes out again at some point.
