About Today on my journal: Things That Happened

This weekend, in order:

We went to see Acacia Sears and the Expendables at the Brass Monkey, and were witness to some fine, fine music and some awesome shoes.

I ate a whole lot of corned beef hash.

I spent a few hours braiding my sister's hair, and was rewarded with Dr. Katz, pizza, and Puppet Angel.

We attended a housewarming party in which talk ranged from Lando Calrissian to taxation.

Sharif made (gentle) fun of me at Panera when I felt sorry for the lone souffle that was still behind the counter at noon.

I chose to sit and pet the puppy rather than show off how poorly I play Frisbee. As a result, I was far less sweaty than all others concerned.

I finished reading V for Vendetta while listening to an Ash/Sharif practice session.

We saw The Simpsons Movie and were well pleased.

I played Halo 2 for the first time, and was killed often . . . but not nearly as often as I would have been if Sharif had been killing me instead of defending me.

So far this week:

It was really really hard to get out of bed.

mightcould got older. Happy birthday, Tim!

On the topic of ridiculous amounts of couple-dom, I would like to geekily congratulate you on finding someone who will defend you in Halo 2. Hell, when I play even cooperative games with a significant other, they get blasted most by me.

Heh. Well, I'd bet that if I was actually any good, he'd have been a lot harder on me. I was not a particularly challenging target, so it was probably more difficult to keep me alive than it would have been to shoot me.

Did you rescue (and then destroy) the souffle?

I had already rescued and was in the midst of destroying its brother when the subject came up. So no, that one was still sad when we left.
